Belcher says Belfort yet to win big match

Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC’s Middleweight fighter Alan Belcher has made it quite clear that there is absolutely no love lost between him and his opponent for UFC 159 at the end of this month –the English fighter Michael Bisping.

However, speaking to a media outlet recently, he took aim at a brand new target. Belcher aimed his gun at the direction of the legendary Brazilian Vitor Belfort, stating that his fellow contender in the 185 lbs division is yet to win a single major accolade inside the cage without the help of chemical substances.

According to Belcher, speaking on the fight against The Count, this is a fight that is for the status of the number one contender for the UFC Middleweight Championship. He stated that the Englishman didn’t lose his fight against Belfort last January, adding that when someone uses the aid of chemicals to win a fight, it doesn’t count as a win. He mentioned that Belfort is yet to prove that he can win a major fight without the use of steroids or undergoing TRT.

Belcher then proceeded to state that as a result, when he knocks out Bisping at UFC 159, he should get the acclaim for being the first fighter to do so since Dan Henderson managed it back at UFC 100. However, in another interview with the media while promoting UFC on FX 8 where he fight Luke Rockhold, Belfort maintained that the UF had always known his medical history and the promotion knows he doesn’t cheat.

Belcher goes into the bout against Bisping on the back of four wins out of five where as Bisping is yet to win a match inside the UFC Octagon since he defeated Brian Stann back at UFC 152 last year in a convincing and brutal manner.
